This past June, I decided to take a trip east to Montreal for a weekend getaway. I had been dying to visit Montreal as I’ve heard many great things about it, especially the fact that it has a European feel to it. As someone who travels to Europe frequently, I never really get the chance to explore Canada so why not kill two birds, one stone? So I took the train from Toronto to Montreal, and upon arrival I checked-in to Le Centre Sheraton Montreal for two nights.
Location of Le Centre Sheraton Montreal
As this was my first time visiting Montreal, I wanted to stay somewhere central. Le Centre Sheraton Montreal is located right downtown on René-Lévesque Boulevard which made it easy to navigate the city. It was a minutes walk from the VIA Rail station and the Bonaventure metro station, making travelling in, out and around the city a breeze. The hotel itself is right next to various restaurants, shopping districts, and main attractions, fully satisfying everything anyone would want in a weekend getaway trip.
Room and Amenities at Le Centre Sheraton Montreal
I stayed in one of the renovated Sheraton Club guest rooms on the 34th floor. The room was beautifully furnished and included an extremely comfortable king bed, a gorgeous view of Mount Royal, and access to the 37th floor Club Sheraton lounge. I was greeted to a bottle of prosecco and chocolate-covered strawberries which was the perfect way to start the weekend. The attention to detail and hospitality the staff provided was one of my favourite parts about the stay. They were extremely helpful when it came to figuring out what to see and do in Montreal.
The hotel itself had amazing amenities, which included:
- 24/7 hour access to their fitness centre with views of the city.
- An indoor heated pool and jacuzzi.
- Their Studio Pressurat full-service spa and sauna.
- An outdoor rooftop patio with lounge chairs and tables.
- The hotel’s own restaurant Bistro Le Boulevard and cafe Le Cafe Bar.
37th Floor Club Lounge
Since I stayed in one of the renovated Sheraton Club guest rooms, I had access to the 37th floor Sheraton Club Lounge. The lounge offered a daily breakfast buffet, all-day snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as evening hors d’oeuvres. Those looking to upgrade to a Club guest room should definitely do it, as it is a great way to cut food costs and enjoy the hotel to the fullest.
One of my favourite things about the Club lounge was the long windows with 360 degree views of Montreal. As you can all tell by now, the view of Mount Royal was my absolute favourite. There’s just something about green scenery in such an urban landscape..
Aside from complimentary food and beverages, the lounge also serves as a great business space. It is peaceful and perfect to work in throughout the day when everyone is done with their food. The entire hotel provides access to fast wifi, making it a great place to stay for those going to Montreal on a business trip.
Overall, I had an amazing time at Le Centre Sheraton Montreal and will definitely be staying there again!
